We meet on the second Wednesday of each month to listen to an interesting speaker on some aspect of science, skepticism or rationalism.
There’s no compulsory charge for any events but we do ask for a donation to cover speaker expenses.
What is Skepticism?
Scientific Skepticism – The application of skeptical philosophy, critical thinking skills, and knowledge of science and its methods to empirical claims, while remaining agnostic or neutral to non-empirical claims (except those that directly impact the practice of science.)
What is Rationalism?
Rationalism – the practice or principle of basing opinions and actions on reason and knowledge rather than on religious belief or emotional response.
